We have been going to The Shanai as a family for decades. My parents always went for Birthdays and Anniversaries. The rest of us who live abroad love to go there on our trips back to Dublin.

My Lovely Brother died in the USA and my sister in law and his son knew straight away that The Shanai was the only place to have his Irish Celebration of Life.

Buffet style food was absolutely delicious. Every choice was piping hot and scrumptious. My brother loved Butter Chicken so we had this as well. Best one ever!

The staff were just wonderful and looked after us beautifully. They were very attentive and polite and couldn't do enough for us. Thank you for helping to make it such a special and enjoyable evening, despite the circumstances.

Highly recommend The Shanai. I will see you next time I'm in Dublin.

Shanai is one of our absolute favorite Indian restaurants, and for good reason. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially with children. They go above and beyond, remembering our previous orders and offering excellent recommendations.
The food is consistently excellent.
I've personally enjoyed the tandoori sea bass, tandoori prawns, and chicken korma, all of which were delicious.
Our kids adore the chicken pakora with rice, garlic naan, and chips.
We highly recommend Shanai for a consistently wonderful dining experience.

Best Authentic Indian Restaurant in Dublin without a doubt ! The food is packed with real flavors — fresh naan, perfectly spiced curries, and a biryani that’s full of aroma, my favourite is “Mixed Biriyani”. Nothing feels watered down, it’s true Indian cooking done right. The staff are warm, friendly, and always happy to recommend dishes. Great portions, fair prices, and a cozy atmosphere. If you love genuine Indian food, this is the place to go if you’re around South Dublin!
